The Event Spaces at The Schoolhouse Restaurant & The Dennison
The Schoolhouse Restaurant offers multiple different venue spaces for your event:
1) The Theater at the Schoolhouse Restaurant was used as a multipurpose room during its time as a school from 1863-1954. It has a fully operational stage which can be used for productions, bands or DJ’s. The yellow oak hardwood floors and soaring windows make for a great space which you can customize for your wedding rehearsal dinner, anniversary party, birthday parties, class reunions, corporate events, holiday parties or large group gatherings.
-The Theater space can accommodate from a minimum of 25 to 70 people.
-There is a dance floor in front of the fully operational theater stage. Including electric outlets throughout the stage area.
2) The Dennison is a restored 1876 farmhouse adjacent to the Schoolhouse property with access to the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The house and property can be rented for smaller group gatherings. Perfect for small outdoor weddings, bachelorette parties, wedding showers, baby showers, or group events. Food can be catered for your group. Minimum 4 Hours $500.
3) The 5 acres of beautiful countryside, including the covered pergola patio located near The Schoolhouse and General Store, is available for rental for outdoor events.
4) The original classroom/dining room is available on days or hours when the restaurant is closed.. A great space for a family style dinner event. The room can accommodate 72 people.
5) The entire building and surrounding property is available for rental for a one of a kind event!
**Additional fees may apply depending on event requirements.
*We do not rent the Restaurant, Theater or Patio areas without food and beverage service.
*Room /event space rental is included in the per person event menu price.
* Square linens are included in the per person price in traditional packages. Special order Round linens and Chair covers can be arranged and will be priced at an additional charge.
*The Event menu can be customized to your specifications for your event. Refer to sample event menus for ideas of what we can offer your guests for both appetizers and complete dinners. * We have a full bar available for your guests. A bar can be set up for a fee of $ 150 including a bartender for 4 hours . Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are available on either a cash basis, set dollar limit or open tab.
* Minimum amount to rent the Theater event space is $1000 plus tax and gratuity. This includes 4 hours of actual event time. Additional time can be arranged at $250 per hour charge. Set up and breakdown times can be arranged at no charge.
*To hold a date, a $250 non refundable deposit is required. This will be deducted from your bill on the day of your event.
***Please note: Due to the age of the building, 160 years young, there is no elevator available for the upstairs room at The Schoolhouse. We can make arrangements for help up the stairs if necessary. Please inquire for more information.
